This Exquisite Forest is the latest digital interactive project from director Chris Milk and Google Creative Lab’s Aaron Koblin. Taking over a single street in Tokyo, IKEA aim to prove how their products can fit into even the tiniest of living spaces…
IKEA Sukima Gallery was unveiled this week and essentially takes place in the gaps between (and even underneath) several of the buildings on the city’s Harajuku Street. A dedicated website at ikea-sukima.com reveals the location of each installation.
In Tokyo, living space is famously at a premium, so presenting IKEA furniture and products like this is certainly one way to get residents thinking about how to make use of limited room.
Olly Sorsby personal branding
“The blank recycled cards are hand-cut with rounded corners using a traditional guillotine. Manufactured from 75% UK post consumer waste and 25% dung from the Sri Lankan elephant. The dung is collected, cleaned up and turned into pulp. The card itself it treated using non-chlorine methods to remove all bacteria, and is manufactured using the heritage steam-driven Fourdrinier machine, the worlds first mechanised paper-making machine dating back to 1895. My design style is very textured, so i wanted to implement this with my personal branding.”
I saw this and thought it was super duper cute

I am thoroughly enjoying the olympics, I am glued to it! I haven’t watched any other TV since it has started. I think we have done well , my only regret is that I wish I could of spent a day in London whilst it was on. Even though I have been swept along with the LDN 2012 hype I still have had to think what to do for my visual identity project and today I emailed my tutor to see the verdict of my choices of rebrand I hope I am on the right track as I would love nothing more then to get ahead!
Fingers crossed, now back to the olympics
